During the last week I was in the U.P. Emil and his family invited me for camping there. Many people here in Muskegon told me about life that is up there. They told me about beautiful nature and not so many towns and people there, or maybe better is to say that there were long distances between some small towns. It seems we were going into wilderness.

And I have to say that I really enjoyed that trip. The nature was really really beautiful and we had a lot’s of experiences, we saw a lot’s of amazing things and places, we did a little bit of hiking, bicycle riding and so on. We also enjoyed campfire which was near our tent, because the weather was really cold. Emil bought blanket and gloves and warm socks and I bought some sweatshirt. Temperature was about 50 (maybe a little bit more, I don’t know). Sometimes it was raining, but in that time we were travelling by car or having dinner in some restaurant. Only the last day there was nice weather. However, I like the time we spent there.

Besides that what I could see there, I could see also how God takes care. And I can see that during the whole summer here and during my whole life, but that was special time when I realized it more intensively. And also I could see, how beautifully and variously God created everything. Every plant and every animal, how the water is flowing, how beautiful are rocks and so on. And then I started thinking about general revelation and special revelation and what said Luther about the general revelation. In my mind I could see some small schemes which our lecturer wrote at the lessons of Dogmatic about revelation. So my hiking and all the trip was about seeing thinking and wondering.

I also realized that the weather wasn’t so bad, but it was wonderful. There were not so much mosquito as usually, when the temperature is warmer. Do you know something about mosquito in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula? Here is one good picture 🙂 http://cdn.net.outdoorhub.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2014/06/BigSkeeters.jpg There are also some places that have in their name mosquito. So there were more advantages than disadvantages about the weather. Therefore I can say, that God arranged for us the weather.

Some curiosity: When we were driving to some lighthouse, there was a sign where was written: “On this spot, on April 24, 2015 the Michigan State Police rescued two sisters from Oklahoma & Nebraska who had their suv stuck in the snow for 13 days. The sisters survived on girl scout cookies, cheetos and other snack foods they had with them.” Yes, that place was like a wilderness. No highway, no normal road, no phone signal and all around you for many miles was forest. It was so beautiful.

What can I say about that all? Just thank you. Thank you for the trip, and thank you that I could be here.

There are some my photos.
