Dear readers,

I am glad to write you some words about me and my two days in Evansville.

First of all, I want to just introduce me 🙂 I am Eva Soldanova and I come from Slovakia, directly from the capital city, Bratislava. Nowadays I study my master in social studies at Comenius University at Lutheran faculty in Bratislava.

My first day in USA

Yesterday it was Independence Day and it was really great to watch parade in Evansville. The most interesting things I saw, were big cars, it was amazing. I cant believe that american cars are so huge. People around watching the parade were so happy. People in the parade gave kids candy. I think that this day is very important for Americans.

Here in Evansville, people organised some concerts (country) and danced a lot. I was positive suprised to watch them and listen life music. Of course some of the baseball teams played baseball. First time in my life I saw a baseball match.

My first host family, where I live now, is very kind. Stephanie and Jim Kvalheim are nice people.Thank you for your heartiness. I like you.

Today I met my Pastor, Matt Poock. He just showed me the church and told me what I will do in my five weeks in the church. I am exciting how it will be.

Thanks for reading!

Regards from Wisconsin
