Beautiful, calm week. Finaly, I´ve had enough sleep, and enough time to realize that I am in US. Woman, with whom I live, is babysitting a dog. His name is Pal, and his age is probably 100 years. Living under one roof with him heped me to understand one important thing- I need to pay attantion to other people´ needs. I need to care about what they want to do, and what are they able to do and how they feel about it. I see, how Pal wants to walk fast and run, but he just can´t and it makes him very sad. My job is to try to make him happy, and try to make our walks as goog as I can. It works same in contact with peoople- special needed people, hendicaped or old. If I want to serve them, and help them, I have to pay attention and listen to them.

What I experienced this week?
  • Shopping in small, cute shops in Whitehall´s downtown
  • Yard sale (I have no idea, how I will bring home all stuff, that I bought)
  • Visit in Nursing home (we went to nursing home twice in previous week, but this one was special)
  • Pow wow (Native american´s festival)
  • Picking up blueberries
  • American theatre play
  • More Lake Michigan
The best from this week

Picking up blueberries. BEST. WORK. EVER. Paradise. Walking between blueberry bushes, light breeze, sun, tasty blueberries and theological discusion with pastor. I was absolutely suprised when I first saw bluebery farm. There is no bluebery farm in Slovakia, so I´ve never seen huge bluebery bushes planted in rows and people between them picking bluberies. Having a blueberry farm suddenly becomed my dream job (or owning sandwich restaurant).

Next week plans: day camp, my first English seremon
