Hello,
I am Jakub Ferko (Jacob) I am from Slovakia, from small town: Hanušovce nad Topľou in the east part of Slovakia. I am student of theology in Bratislava. This is blog post is abou my first week in USA. Firstly I am very glad that I had this chance come to here. It was my dream come to USA. And first week was amazing for me. Lots of things here in USA are different than in Slovakia. Every day I am trying new things and I have a new experineces.

I was excited when I arrived to New York. I came to very sweet family, Mary and Richard Israel in town Stratford. They took me at many trips. The best trip for me was trip to New York City. It is so huge and amazing city. We also visited island with lighthouse, beach in Stratford and Mexican restaurant. I had so many new meal for me. For the first time I had peanut butter or waffles.

What is a new for me is sunday service in church. I need to get used to new liturgy, different hymn book, diiferent habits, but I like it.  I am very glad that I met in church lots of people who spoke with me in slovak language. No just in slovak language but even in dialekt from part of Slovakia where I live.

I am glad that I met pastor Kathleen Mills. She have 2 small, cute children. We had pastoral visit or confirmation meeting, congregation meeting and many other interesting matters.
