Last week’s dinner at the Redeemer went very well, we served as many as 80 meals, had some nice talks, and spent great time together.
On Tuesday, I went to see Medina city and county. We went around the square, and even entered some historical buildings. And I finally got the cauldron for guľáš I’ll be cooking for my last Sunday here, which is unfortunately approaching quicker than I’d want.
One of the highlights of my summer came on Sunday – Cedar Point, the rollercoaster capital of the world. I had so much fun there. As I was ascending to the top point of my first rollercoaster, never had ridden anything like that before, I started to realize how fast would I fall. And indeed, I think I’m never going to forget it for my entire life. I really had a chance to taste the flagship of the amusement parks.
We decided to introduce Psalm singing from the past Sunday on. Despite all the doubts, we gave it a shot, and it went perfectly! The whole congregation sang, and was very happy to do so after a long break.
After the church, I helped at a service at the Lutheran home. I met some people with Slovak roots, and had a little talk with them.
So that was another splendid week of my life.
