We started something really precious last Saturday. We started with our bi-weekly Pray&Bake meetings. It was eleven women, who wanted to wake up and made it to the church before 10:00. We played a short activity and then talked about Godly woman from the Proverbs 31. Each one of us read a verse and then we talked about it. We shared our experince, memories and thoughts and then we prayed for each other. It was a great time to be gathered together, to be able to focus on God, and to be able to share things from our heart. After the mutual prayer, all the women were ready to learn something new. We made a slovak dish called perky a šúlance. It was fun watching them wondering around and trying to make the best thing possible. During cooking we talked about different recipes. The women shared stories from their childhood and from their life.

The time that we got to spend with each other was really blessed. It was not only about cooking, but most importantly it was about us being together in God’s presence. I as a future pastor realized that it is very very important to be with people outside of the Sunday service as much as possible. During this time you can really find a connection with them, you can bring light to their lives. I pray for this congregation and especially for the women.
