Hi there,

so today it is a real month , I´m away from my home! if you´re wondering that if I miss my Home, the answer is YES!!!

however it´s not my first time so far and so long from Slovakia and my family, but stil, everywhere is good, home is the best!

I was really thinking ,don´t do that too often, it makes  your brain suffer, though, no pain no gain… Anyway, I was thinking about the very difficult situation of people, who must travel abroad, from home forever!  like, in (not)many years ago, when people from Europe traveled for job and better life to America, and they had just a few things with them, which could remined them of their real home. In this area, where I´m staying now, lived many czech and german emigrants, which traveled long miles/kilometres because of image of better life…they had to leave their families, friends, houses, everything in the country to which, they knew, never return. So, this is about what I was thinking when I felt homesick. and it makes me happier, because, I know that I (if Lord´s will) will come back to my Home!

and now, feeling so good, I can tell (actually write) you, how was my week.

So, Monday: I´m stayin´ with my new host family, this week. they have big house with beautiful garden with a fig tree! so at Monday morning, like Zaccheus, I climbed a fig tree, however with another purpose than he had, and I picked as many figs as I could. then came the very moment I was longing for in my whole life, cooking a FIG JELLY!!! we made like milion glasses of fig jelly…!!! So we had (jelly)fun in the kitchen 😀

Tuesday : very tired of fig jelly I and my host-father, retired pastor called Hildebrant (by the way, very funny and generous man) we decided to make some visitations in nursing homes, so we went to 2 NHs and it was very nice time. I met older woman, who speaks czech, so pastor tried to say greeting in czech to her, and she seemed very pleased! 🙂

Wednesday: my studying day. I wrote my Sermon (finally) and read very interesting and noncomplicated Manual on the Liturgy!!! this day made me realy tired! 🙂

Thursday: I was in San Antonio!!!! I can not describe how beautiful time we had there!!! first we were in Alamo, where some very important battle between Mexican´s and Texan´s had happened, o men, such freezing atmosphere was there! then we went to river walk and took a boat with guide who explained us the history of this place. it is realy amazing place with relatively (comparing with European) old builngs (hotels, restaurants, stores)  and parks along the river. and the day ended with dinner in second highest tower of Texas! what more can I wish? 😀

Friday: another study day, nothing interesting to say 😛

Saturday: I was in New Ulm with two women of our church in ELCA women meeting. maybe I´m repeating myself, but it was very nice time 🙂 one woman shared with us her testimony full of sorrow, grief and Lord´s healing presence.

Sunday : it is tomorrow, but I ´m going to go to camp in LUTERHILL with our confirmands, so please pray for that time, that can be blessed. thank you 🙂

P.S. this week every time I opened my Bible, Lord talks to me in Psalm, how great is His power, and mercy, and how good and miraculous He is! Thanks be to God for that is true! 🙂
