Month passed. Unknown changed to familiar and I start to recognize people and places and all in all I am getting comfortable here. Still watching every step for spiders though. And I have to check the bed for them before I go to sleep as well. I think everyone is making a little fun of me because of that, but that´s alright.

Anyways, this week I preached again in the church, held Bible study, helped out in the senior center, etc. But I have two special things I want to tell you about!

First- we went on the trip to San Antonio with the senior center. It was really amazing. I loved the company, museums, even the little I saw from the cities. We saw a San Antonio Shoe Factory (about how they make shoes, obviously :)), then we went to Buckhorn Texas Ranger Museum, which was preety amazing!

The other thing I really liked was The Antique Rose Imporium I went to with one family from our church congregation.

I am not really garden person, but it was pretty there and I loved one of the roses especially. I love when the sermon you are preparing for resonates in your life that week. When you see something unexpected, but so closely related to the message you wanna share. I love when that happens.

During one of the lectures the speaker showed us different roses, let us look at them closely and smell them. One of them was closed Desmond Tutu. And since the day before I was writing the sermon about our sin, evil, Gods forgiveness and hope with which God fills our hearts. And he really is the person who has lot to say about this!

I add some of his quotes:

“Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness.”

“Forgiveness says you are given another chance to make a new beginning.”

“If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality.”
