Another fine week in Monroe (5th)

This week was really busy! In the church we had a lot of meetings and events. Like Senior Luncheon, VBS started, and we have been on one wedding. It was really fun. I like spending time in the church on all activities with all age groups. The wedding was such a surprise and something really new for me, because in slovak lutheran church, the wedding can be done only in the church- and this one was on the deck behing their house. It started 10 minutes sooner, because everyone was already there prepared. But I didnt really like it. In the church it has the atmoshere, it is more serious and memorable. At least that is the wedding I will have. And with VBS- Vacation Bible School- I was really scared of it firstly, I couldnt imagine what I am going to do there and I was really confused. But as soon as we got there, it was really ok. Everything you have here, what we would have to prepare ourselves and you can just buy it prepared in the store- that amazes me.

And my family is awesome!! I just love spending time with them- either their family, or just with them watching movies, or anything else. Jim, my “new american step father” took me for motorcykle ride! It was so amazing, and the other day we went also with his wife for a walk through town. They are walking everywhere- and so am I now. But the was to the church is so nice. In Slovakia I would be probably complaining, but now I am just thankfull for the 10 minutes I can have for myself just thinking about how awesome it is there.
