Well, this was my second week here, it’s unbelievable how fast the time is going.

During this week everything was calm. Maybe it was because I was calmer. We visited Katherine in her house. She is an old member of congregation who can’t go to church. I was also on Worship Committee Meeting. It was really interesting, because in Slovakia pastors usually give numbers of hymns to their cantors (I mean organist players) and cantors often agree, or they ask for changing some hymns. Changing the hymns is mostly when they don’t know how to play them. I think it’s really good to do these meetings, especially when my host congregation haven’t got their own pastor.

Yesterday I was watching fireworks with one family who took me on Muskegon Rockstock festival. The fireworks were so big. But the most surprising thing for me that evening was a hot dog which was on wooden stick. I have never seen that. Oh, and I was also on another festival in town with art. They were selling a lots of things which were made some creative way.

On Sunday service when I saw people I was pleased. I know some of the faces and I feel more like I am at home. I was calmer because service was more clearly to me than the first time. The microphone works good so everybody can hear me (last Sunday some people didn’t hear me 🙁 ).

Also the most incredible thing which happened to me these weeks was that I’ve met one old woman on service, that spoke to me in Slovak, but with a dialect from my area of Slovakia. She is from small village Vrbovce and she told me, that she doesn’t speak good Slovak, but she did. She didn’t talk so much, but she introduced herself and her home which was in Slovakia. It was really nice to meet this person and I can know, that God sends me these people for being here like at home. And I am thankful, that I can also say a few sentences in my native language.

Oh, and I have a lots of fun this week too. I was in cinema and had an extreme large cup of Dr Pepper. I like it. It taste really great. Why don’t we have this drink in Slovakia?

So that was my week. I am thankful to God for everything He gives me and that I can share the joy, which I have from Him.
