I almost forgot!

On Wednesday I got to help out at Atonement Lutheran church in Wyomissing, PA. I was helping packing meals for people in need for about 3-4 hours, I think. It was great seeing people actually doing something to help others inspired by God’s love! And also seeing children doing their part also. I see this missing in churches in Slovakia and Serbia – we are so used to the idea that the government is here to help those less fortunate that we forget that we are called by Christ to serve our neighbors. Not all the times (there are many good things that the churches do), but I do feel that there is still a lot to do in the area of diakonia in our Slovak churches.

Tomorrow I’m moving to another family, so I’ll let you know about the new things I experience this week.

Blessings to all!

Ivan
