Hello world, my name is Emil, and I am the 3rd student from EBF UK this year. My step-home is now in Whitehall, Michigen – Lebanon Lutheran Church.

I’ve just finished my second year in the seminary. And reason why I wanted to come into the US is simple – I want to have my own experience, not just to hear about someone’s else experiences. My home is in Lukavica, Slovakia. It’s a small village about 380 people at the Eastern Slovakia.

I come from a traditional Lutheran family, my parents and almost all their siblings and cousins are Lutherans. So I was growing up in a church. I have two sisters, Dominika (16) and Adela (4).

Just after my confirmation I started to serve in a youth group, and after 4 years of that I have decided to join a seminary. A lot of people ask me: Why you did so? And I have any other answer that just because of God´s grace. I knew that God would bless me in whatever I would study or do to build His kingdom. But I felt, that I want to serve in His church.

What I like most about being in the seminary is that when I study Bible, theology and a church history deeper than ever before, it changes my childish faith into something stronger.

I very hope, that this summer will be something new and something good, what God gives me, as a new opportunity to improve my gifts, to grow deeper in His love and in my dependence on Him. And I am very glad that I can spend this summer in the Lebanon Lutheran.
