OK, probably you would like to know something about me, so I will start. I am 22 years old girl and I am from Skalica. It is a small town near the border with Czech republic. I am in my 3rd year of studying Lutheran theology in Bratislava. And I was little bit afraid of my English before going here.

I have many experiences this first week. But everything started, when I heard that I am accepted as an intern. Passing exams as soon as possible and preparing for travel to the USA. It was really hard time. But I had a motivation to go through those days. And I have done it. This week I have sent the last work to school so I am happy and thankful for God’s help.

But back to my experiences here in the USA. Maybe you know, that we have funny travelling, because our second flight was cancelled due to the weather. I was travelling with another intern, Emil. In Chicago we took the train to Holland where were people waiting for us. So we discovered US little more.

The people here are amazing. They take care about me, they are so kind, and I like also their jokes. I am really thankful, that I can be a part of their congregation and also their family. They received me with a big heart.

This Sunday, I had a sermon. It has been my first public sermon ever and also it was in English. And that was a really great experience. Moreover this was the first time for me that I have been distributing the chalice. In the morning I was a little bit confused about what, when and how to do things during the service. But pastor Michnay explained me all the things. Although I have made mistakes, they are still so kind. 😀

Oh, and I can’t forget also the trip to Shipshewana to flea market and the cinema with moving chairs. I was watching Jurassic World. It was fun. And Preaching Conference Picnic where we had amazing reconnoitre of forest was fun too.

I am really thankful that I can be here and I look forward to next weeks.
