As you make your final preparations and finish packing, we’d like to take this time to give you a few updates in regards to weather.
We’ve been monitoring the weather situation these past few days. Arctic air is now firmly entrenched over much of the nation’s mid-section, Northwest and Northeast, sending temperatures crashing to increments you might expect in mid-winter in some areas. Some of you have already arrived in New Orleans for your pre-assembly personal downtime, and have most likely found the city to be unseasonably cold for a metropolis off the Gulf of Mexico. There have also been concerns from some of you who are flying out on the 16th to make it to the Assembly on the day of the ship’s departure.
We’re happy to confirm to you that there is no expectation of any inclement winter weather that could cause any delays or hindrances to your travel to the Assembly this weekend. This is the case across all airports of departure for all Synod Assembly participants.
Additionally, we’re expecting some light afternoon rain in New Orleans this coming Sunday, and balmy sunny weather throughout the week.
We look forward to seeing with you this week and wish safe travels for you.
