emailheader

This email is being sent to all rostered clergy of the Slovak Zion Synod.

In the next couple of weeks, updated Clergy ID cards will be printed and sent out to each of you from the Synod Office. These cards have been distributed in years past and are used to identify you as an ordained and rostered minister of this synod and verify your current good standing as a credentialed leader of this church. These Clergy ID cards are valid for one year from date of issue.

These cards will be featuring an added security feature starting with the year 2023: Photo Identification. This will help to protect your identity and prevent other persons from using your card, as well as give you the added convenience of not having to carry/produce another ID that would have a picture in order to verify your identity.

To this end, we ask that at your earliest possible convenience, you upload an ID-style headshot picture of yourself using the form below. Please complete this no later than February 8, 2023 in order to receive an ID card for the 2023 year. You can have someone assist you by taking a picture using your smartphone camera and following the guidelines below, or alternatively, you can use your smartphone to take a picture/scan of your drivers license or passport, and crop the resulting photo to include only your headshot picture.
The photo you upload using this form will be the one that is used for all future-year ID cards that the Synod Office produces. However, you can always update your photo by saving this email and the link above, or by going to SlovakZionSynod.org and logging into your MySZS account (the same one you use to login and register for synod events) via the Quick Links at the bottom of any webpage. You can update your photo via this form at any time, but we will only reprint the ID cards in the spring of each new year.

To provide a professional-looking headshot that can be used for identification:
  1. Submit a color photo, taken in the last 6 months.
  2. Use a clear image of your face. Do not use filters commonly used on social media.
  3. Have someone else take your photo. (No selfies.) They should hold the camera at your shoulder height.
  4. Take off your eyeglasses for your photo. Eyeglasses change all the time and they can distract from recognizing you.
  5. Use a white or off-white background without shadows, texture, or lines. Well-lit rooms work well.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us by replying directly to this email. Thank you for your prompt attention, and be sure to keep an eye out for your cards in the mail over the next several weeks!

Regards,
Joshua Drobena
