Coast Guard Festival in Grand Haven is a festival that honors men and women of the United States Coast Guard serving in the West Michigan area. Unofficially it began in 1924. The first festival was held in 1937 and continues each year. Before Grand Parade starts, a service of morning prayer is held at St. John’s Episcopal Church. The St. Cecilia Choir sang as usual, and they were really great!<\/p>\n

Sand Dunes, Silver Lake<\/p><\/div>\n

Sand Dunes, P.J. Hoffmaster State Park<\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

Who would think that there is some much sand in Michigan? In P.J. Hoffmaster State Park and in Silver Lake a desert meets a lake and woods. There is the possibility of taking a dune buggy ride in Silver Lake. If you want to experience adventure and feel as if you are on a sand roller-coaster, I really recommend it.<\/p>\n
